National trade fabricator Sternfenster now supplies the new multipoint Ultion Bolt lock as standard across its full PAS24-certified composite door range, which improves security, reduces callbacks and offers further upsell opportunities.

A key feature of the new Ultion Bolt is that all lock bolts work independently to each other, so if the composite door slab doesn’t sit true in the frame, the door will still lock securely.

The lock also engages without lifting the handle. Rollers in the lock keep provide a perfect seal, even if the doesn’t isn’t shut properly, which means a home is fully secured even if the homeowner leaves a property in a hurry.

“Together, these features will dramatically reduce the number of callbacks to properties where the door has shifted slightly in the frame,” Nathan said. “Often, it is when the homeowner has difficulty engaging the locks that prompts a call to the installer. The lock can also be paired with the Ultion Nuki plus smart lock, creating further upsell opportunities for window and door companies.

A route is implemented as standard, into which a ‘smart sensor pocket’ is inserted. The homeowner can insert a chip at a later date, which connects to the Ultion Nuki plus smart features. This allows the homeowner to see if the door is unlocked on their smartphone, and even grant access by unlocking it remotely.
